Licensing Supports

Did you know that about 20 percent of jobs are regulated to protect the health and safety of Canadians by ensuring professionals and tradespeople meet the required standards of practice and competency? If your chosen occupation is

  • regulated, the recognition of your qualifications will be determined by the appropriate provincial or territorial regulatory authority.
  • non-regulated, recognition is normally at the discretion of the employer.

If you are an eligible newcomer to Canada looking to build your career in the high growth construction industry and if you are still living in your home country, we can provide an in-depth assessment of your skills, education, and experience to confirm the specific roles you should be targeting when you land in Canada.

We will also confirm if your target profession is regulated or unregulated, what licensing (credential) is required and the steps you should take to shortcut your credential recognition process and build your career faster. In addition, we will refer you directly to the specific provincial, territorial, or national regulatory body you need to contact so you can begin the licensing process pre-arrival. Register for our free program here.

In the meantime, here’s a list of some publicly available information on a sample of these credential (licensing/regulatory) organizations across Canada.
